Toronto Tempo Loses WNBA Debut to Washington Mystics
Canada’s first WNBA team, the Toronto Tempo, lost its inaugural game 68-65 to the Washington Mystics on May 8 in front of a sold-out crowd of 8,210 at Coca-Cola Coliseum. Marina Mabrey led the Tempo with 27 points despite the loss.

PWHL Finals Set: Ottawa Charge to Face Winner of Montreal-Minnesota Series
The PWHL announced on May 11 that the Walter Cup Finals will feature the Ottawa Charge against either Montreal Victoire or Minnesota Frost, with Game 3 scheduled for May 18 and Game 4 if necessary on May 20 in Ottawa.
